It’s been a pretty grim go these last 6 weeks until I found “the solution”. It has worked to perfection and I recommend it to anyone that has been disappointed with the outcomes these last few fortnights. Here’s how it works, just tune into the game at any time and if the Sox are in the lead immediately turn off the TV/Radio/Computer and enjoy the “victory”. If they are behind simply check in randomly until the lead is secured and then go directly to bed to hunker down. Goodbye anger, hello blissful slumber as all is right with the world if ever so briefly.

I’m not sure how much more of this I can take…

Incredible. As bad as I thought this could get, it just keeps getting worse. And worserer, as Soxaholix said yesterday. In a way I’m glad these games have been on the west coast. It’s so much easier to just go to bed and pretend the devastation isn’t happening.

But, a strange thing happened while channel surfing last night. I stumbled on “Field of Dreams” and was hooked. Rent it today, my friend and your love of baseball will be restored. So now no matter what - I’m goin’ the distance. Now ease my damn pain…

Almost titled this one “Losing Losers are the Lose-iest” but this funk is just not funny - it’s slow torture. For the last couple of years games like these in Seattle would have been won by the Sox - some way, some how. Not anymore, with an 8-17 record for August that means an under .500 record for the month is guaranteed.

Thanks be that these games are on so late, I would likely have torn off my skin if I had to actually sit and watch this BLEEP.

Red Sox Emergency Telethon

After seeing the success of the Jimmy Fund telethon during the Yankee/Sox doubleheader, it became painfully apparent that the Red Sox should implement an emergency telethon to raise all necessary funds to purchase a pitching staff that can throw something other than batting practice. The Jimmy Fund raised $3 million - pretty impressive but one can only imagine the flood of donations for this call to arms. Thanks to Kiff for coming up with the idea so crazy it just might work!

Nervy, nervous nerves - gulp, this is getting a bit scary. First the Bay and now the Royals. We need a rest from the bumbling, stumbling and the losing. This adversity is merely Building Character in the long run -right?
